Welcome!

My name is Teri, and I am the owner and photographer at In The Now Photo. I am so glad you are here!

I’m a wedding photographer who loves to work with couples who have found their special connection – “that one person” – and are ready to celebrate their love with all of their closest family and friends. When I photograph weddings, I find the most joy in capturing the raw emotional moments of the day: parents wiping away tears as their children say their vows, or friends of couples who are belly laughing at the stories they hear during after dinner toasts.

I love love, and I love weddings. On the summer Saturdays I do not have a scheduled wedding, you can probably find me helping myphotographer friends as a second shooter. I have photographed well over 50 weddings as a primary and second photographer; I say confidently that I have shed an emotional tear at – every – single – one – of them. You could say I have perfected the art of taking beautiful, crisp photos, even when I can’t see because I am crying.

In October of 2010, on a perfect autumn day, I married my best friend Kenneth. We have two kids, and the four of us make our home among the tulips in Pella, Iowa, along with our rescue dog Rocky and our rescue cats Sam and Max. We love to spend our time relaxing on our pontoon on the lake or taking long walks around our neighborhood. We love to live life and are always working on a special new project (or ten!).

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Iowa State in marketing, international business, and Spanish. I used to speak Spanish fluently; now I am a little rusty but I love to practice. These days, I work as a full-time photographer and mom. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of Iowa, the Professional Photographers of America, and am an affiliate photographer with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

If you think I might be a good fit for your special day, I would love to hear from you! Please drop me a line here and I will respond to you quickly!
